Eric Reprid

Updated: Apr 24, 2023

Meet Eric Reprid. This one's a true gem! Unreal talent coming from Vancouver, Canada. Eric Reprid's style is that of melodic rap/pop. It ranges from jazzy, to trap, to a unique genre in itself. It all started in 2016 when Eric was working on building his sound and catalog with musician Marc Wavy, another very talented artist. The 2 collaborated with each other for years before mutually parting ways in 2022. Eric's first single is, "With Us" which was released in January of 2017. It was produced and engineered by Marc Wavy. It's also Eric's first music video. It's a very melancholy, spacey-lofi sounding rap/pop song where Eric expresses his aspirations and introduces himself to the world. In 2017, Eric was able to release 11 singles where, "YELLOW KID" ended up being his biggest song - prompting him 215,000 plays on SoundCloud and over 1M streams on Spotify. The Canada kid had gained himself an audience and they were listening. In 2018, Eric released his most successful song at that time, "June Blues", a wildly captivating happy-beat/sad-lyrics song. It gained 234,000 plays on SoundCloud and over 8.3M streams on Spotify! Mr. Reprid was becoming a star. That same year, he released his first project, "Who Cares.". This project is where the audience really gets to connect with Eric in regard to relatability. Eric unleashes passionate emotion and touches on mental health and addiction. This is heard on songs like "House Arrest", "I Need To Leave", "Faded", "Friends", "Niche", and more. All are powerful compositions. That same year, he dropped his sophomore project, "Momento Mori" which served somewhat of a 'part 2' to "Who Cares.". His song "Come Back To Earth" from "Momento Mori" is truly beautiful. Eric is still able to show his rap skills too and that can be heard on his song "Lil Uzi" which he also released that year. The next year in 2019, Eric was working on a big project. In the meantime, he was able to release singles that year such as "Get More" (over 5M streams on Spotify), "Nobody" (over 360,000 streams on Spotify), "Thank You" (over 320,000 streams on Spotify), "Test Me" (over 290,000 streams on Spotify), and so much more along with releasing music videos. By the end of 2019, Eric had seen wild success and a growing career. In 2020, Eric released his project, "Season 1: BLOOM" where his sound was truly professionally solidified. This is heard on songs like "Don't Worry" (over 2M streams on Spotify), "Dumb Shit", "Give It Up", "Lime" (over 1M streams on Spotify), and more. That same year, Eric Reprid released his incredible project, "Cold World". Every single song on it is perfect, and that's being said without exaggeration. To name some, go listen to the sonic bliss of, "Cold World" (over 50M streams on Spotify - his biggest song to date), "Nobody Knows" (over 8M streams on Spotify), "Get More" (over 5M streams on Spotify), "80 Proof" (over 4M streams on Spotify), and more. This tape talks about family, relationships, substance abuse, fame, and more, and it's audible via lyrical rhythm and melody along with surreal production. In 2021, Eric dropped his EP, "Good Riddance" where he was able to expand his genre which is heard on his songs, "Petty King", "Hurt Somebody", and, "No Practice". In 2022, Eric released his album, "3TERNITY". To a bittersweet end, this was the last album Marc Wavy assisted in. This album is where we're able to hear Eric's modern-sounding commercial success in songs like, "Help Me", "Vam", "Day and Night", "No Plan B", and more. Now in 2023, Eric has released 3 singles off his newest project: "Loner", "Evil", and "Hate On Me". Since his inception on the scene, he has released many music videos/visualizers and in total they sum to over 9 million views. We hope this year he'll release more music videos and we'll be keeping an eye on his newest project "Season 2: Riddy's Revenge"! If you haven't heard yet, go check out this man's music. It's available on all platforms!
