Hip-Hop is not dead; you just have to look for it. When it comes to Chicago, there is a handful of artists that keep it alive. Here is one of those talented musicians. Meet Geno Pacino aka Geno Green. Starting from 2018, this man has been extremely consistent. The truth he speaks is very relatable for many Chicagoans. It's his delivery, lyricism, and beat selection that prompt a nostalgic sense in rap music. His first tape, "It Started At Game Night", truly shows this artist's ability and skills in regard to story-telling. Geno speaks on the struggles of the black community and culture within society but more specifically within Chicago. This can be heard on songs like "Corner52", "High Times", "Winners Circle", "I Am Legend", "911", and more! Still in 2018, he released another project, "Any Given Sunday". This tape shows Geno's range and adaptation skills where he expands his style via remixes and sampling. This is heard on songs like "Lethal Weapon", "Bet Yo Life", "I Can't Go On", and more! This is a very groovy and soulful EP. Geno believes in building the future today! He is so consistent. In 2019, Geno released another project, "Pacino Season". This tape illustrates how much Geno improved his sound in regard to quality and flow. It solidifies who he is, what he's been through, and what he plans. He also began working with many other artists around this time. This is audible in songs like "Pacino Season" [over 9,000 streams on Spotify - his biggest song at the time], "The ChangeUp", "Rudy Ray", "We Ouchea", and more! Geno understood his potential, so in 2020 he took a break so he could prepare for his 2021 roll-out of "Pacino Season 2"! Not only does he deliver bars, he brings his listeners back to a sound of the early 2000s and 2010s. This Chicago tape is a gem. Good songs from this tape are "Moment of Praise", "Tears of Joy", "Pure" [over 22,500 streams on Spotify - his biggest song yet], "All In The Family", and more! He wasn't done yet for that year! He then released an addition to the the series, "Pacino Season 3". This tape is by far his most professionally sounding project thus far! He has improved his lyricism, flow, and delivery exponentially. He also shows us his capability of executing a modern sound. This is heard on songs like "Lost City", "Caution", "In God's Hands", "Stay", and more! Geno has many music videos too! He has been noticed by the likes of Media Leeks, Saucey Media, Soul 106.3, ThinkILL Media, and more. We hope to see another music video or project this year in 2022. His music can be found on all platforms. Check out Geno Pacino!
