Meet ico80! This Chicago artist has been in the game for sometime now. It all started back in 2016 when he released many songs on SoundCloud with a collective it seems. This group includes $iRVE, $irReal, $iRclassick, and Ayo8. ico80's first solo song appears to be "Pressure". He then appears on "$iRVE $ound EP" on songs "Get Right" and "Rock With Me". By this time, his style was a classic Chicago auto-tune drill sound. It's great! By 2017, he appeared on the EP "$iRVE $tyle" on the song "Line Up The FLEX" where you can really hear his improvement in regard to flow and lyricism. In 2018, he appears on another EP called "$irve Ties I" and on the song "Wave" which has a very catch piano trap beat. After some research, it looks like ico80 works with icyybands, 99kez, and Lunar Rue who are all artists we have covered. By 2019, ico80 began releasing content on Spotify. His first single there is "Constant Habits" which explains the lifestyle of 80! In 2020, he released an EP "Bank Statements" where you can hear that Chicago trap vibe! ico80 delivers bars that compliment the menacing beats he chooses. By 2021, ico released his first solo tape "THE ISLAND". This is by far his most professionally sounding body of work. He expands his style on this one too. A more soulful, lyrical, and melodic sound from 80 is heard on songs like "outfit", "faraway", "still", and "LNS (freestyle)". We hope to hear more from this year in 2022 and perhaps a music video!
