Mabu! This young man is here to stay! Stand-out artist Lil Mabu has been making noise recently. Emerging from Manhattan, New York, Lil Mabu has been in the game since 2020. It stared when he released his single on SoundCloud "glue". It's a melodic-styled low-quality sounding classic "SoundCloud" song from a young prepubescent boy. It gained over 8,000 plays. We hear the same sound in his songs "Up Next", "Taking Over", "Heartbreaking", and "Miss Me". These songs describe Mabu's lifestyle and aspirations at the time. This consists of getting money, having fun, driving fast cars, being involved with women, and making music. Then it all changed at the end of 2021 when he dropped his song "GRINCHMAS". This is where he completely changed his style and evolved to New York Drill. By this time, his style had become harder, more professional sounding, and his voice had changed to what it is now. He was 16 at this time. Then, in 2022, he released his first tape, "Double M's", which features artists like Dusty Locane, Sha Ek, DThang, and more. It was in this tape where he gained lots of notice because of his songs, "KING OF THE WORLD" & "NO SNITCHING". These are very catchy songs if you're into New York drill gang-banging music. Perfect sound for a late hang-out with the crew. Now, in 2023, he released his songs "THROW" featuring DD Osama, and "TRIP TO THE HOOD". In this short time, he has been able to accrue over 19M plays on SoundCloud, over 180,000 followers on Spotify, and over 2.5M monthly listeners. His biggest songs are "NO SNITHING" and "THROW". He's got about 8 music videos and all combined it's over 40 million views. He's certainly making waves and he has grown in his career exponentially. Some say he's the son of Jeffrey Vaughn, President of Capitol Records. Whether he is or not, he's got talent and we hope to see a 2nd tape from him this year!
