Anybody that's anyone from Chicago has heard of this artist. If you have not, well then, meet SG Batman! SG Batman has been in the game for a little while now and he's just getting started. In 2014, producer KidWond3rBeatz of Chicago released "OUTWEST BOY" by SG Batman featuring Lil Prada. The song was released on SoundCloud and gained over 33,000 plays! This song is unique as it combines a smooth and chill jazz melody with a trap sounding Chicago drill percussion while SG and Prada illustrate a classic Chicago drill sound. He then released another song with the same producer called "Make No Sense" and it gained over 36,000 plays! That same year, KidWond3rBeatz released another SG Batman song, "OTS" featuring Shorty Poppy. This is another classic Chicago melodic drill song and it gained over 37,000 plays! Still in 2014, SG was featured on a song by King Kane and KidWond3rBeatz called "Get Back" and it gained 29,000 plays. Then in 2015, SG Batman did more songs with KidWond3rBeatz and they're called "King" and "So Bad". They are another example of a Chicago melodic drill sound that was very popular then. By this time, SG Batman had made a name for himself and was gaining traction. Still in 2015, SG Batman released a popular Chicago drill song that any trap lover would like, "HATRED". The song gained over 29,000 plays. This was the same year that SG Batman did a song with Lud Foe, "Lil Nigga"; and it gained over 86,000 plays! This was his biggest song at the time. SG Batman was often compared with the likes of Lud Foe, G Herbo, Young Pappy, LA Capone, and more. By 2016, SG Batman was working closely with Lud Foe and the YSN record label. He released another song with Lud Foe called "STREET LIFE" and it gained over 77,000 plays! This was a very successful year for SG Batman as he not only helped Lud Foe achieve his success but also gained his own fanbase. It's SG's delivery, flow, lyrics, and energy he brings to songs that people love. He keeps Chicago drill alive! This is evident on songs like "Killaz" which gained 429,000 plays, and "ON HIM" which gained 1.12 million plays! By this time, SG Batman was only a teenager! His music is certainly hot and it's not up for debate. In 2017, SG Batman applied the pressure as he kept pursuing his passion for music. Noticeable songs he did that year are "Lay It Down" which gained over 102,000 plays, "When You See One" which gained over 69,800 streams on Spotify, and more! Unfortunately, SG got into some legal trouble and had to serve jail time for about 5 months. But that didn't stop him! He got out and pursued music even harder. In 2018, SG Batman did another couple songs with Lud Foe called "Confused" which gained 45,000 plays, and "Lose Me" which gained over 300,000 plays! SG also made an appearance on Lud Foe's "Boochie Gang" album. He is featured on the songs "Everywhere We Go" which gained over 285,000 streams, and "Street Shit" which gained over 330,000 streams. These songs exemplify SG Batman's lyrical as well as melodic abilities. By 2019, Lud Foe and SG Batman had gone in different directions. This proved to be a very busy and successful year for the young Chicago rapper. This was the year he began doing music videos and released his debut project "Nobody Safe". This project really shows an exponential growth from SG Batman as an artist. It has songs like "Freestyle" which gained over 54,000 streams on Spotify and over 376,000 views on YouTube, "Advice" which gained over 278,000 streams, and more! That year, SG was able to work with Toinne Visuals, A1 Visuals, Plu20 Nash, Anti, Spank on the Beat, Q Da Fool, and more! By this time, he was definitely putting on for Chicago, specifically the West-Side (Madison and Laramie Ave). He was noticed by the likes of The Ghetto Flower, Prime Fortune, Elevator, Lyrical Lemonade, and more. In 2020, SG Batman released "Nobody Safe II". This tape is his best and most professional sounding body of work yet. It has songs like "Top One", "Back 2 Back", "Freestyle Pt. 2", and more! He's got many music videos from this tape as well. All of his videos gain thousands and thousands of views! SG Batman is popping! SG Batman then released a single called "New Lil Wayne". It's a very catchy fast paced song that shows how versatile SG really is. By this time, fans have named SG Batman Chicago's modern king of drill. In 2021, SG made a collaboration tape with producer Plu2o_Nash called "Big Bat". It was very successful and hard. This can be heard from songs like "Gang Gang", "Real Time" and more. In 2021, SG Batman has done over 7 music videos and they all have thousands of views. His most popular one right now is "NEWEST SNIPER". He just recently made an appearance on Chicago's DJ Pharris' mixtape "Coronation" and was able to collaborate with Vic Mensa! SG Batman has been known by many such as Chief Keef, King Von (RIP), Polo G, and has even gained attention from Rich The Kid, Young M.A., Kodak Black, and more!
