Coming straight from the south side of Chicago, meet SRT Shon! This artist is relatively new in the game. His first single was "SRT" which was released in 2020. This song has a Chicago sounding trap beat with a violin melody while Shon introduces himself to his listeners. He has a very defining vocal presence which he exemplifies via his rap bars along with his auto tune melodies. That same year, he released his first project which is called "MoneyMelodies". It is a duo EP as he worked with MikeyGotit. They both go back and forth with each other over catchy beats which can be heard on songs like "Dragonfly", "Piper", and more! Still in 2020, Shon was able to work with director Young Will for MikeyGotit's video "Army". The following year, 2021, proved to be busy for the young Chicago artist. He released many singles such as "I Admit", "But I guess", "SukiSuki", and more. If you like trap rap with auto tune melodies, this is the guy to listen to. It gives us Gunna and Money Man vibes but with a Chicago story to be told. SRT Shon has a great ear for beat selection and has a professional sound via his melodies, harmony, and delivery. Shon then released his first mixtape "Not Dangerous". This has songs like "Paint the Sky", "True Paradise", "By my Side", and more on it. It shows listeners his mainstream appeal and potential. His lyrics tell a story of the lifestyle of a man from a Chicago struggle. This can be seen in his videos "EVIL" which was filmed by Chance Takers (which has over 33,000 views) and "But I guess" which was filmed by RickeeArts. Shon just released his 2nd EP, "Shon Morant".
